Fête de la Musique returns to India - Fête de la Musique 2021
Jun 09, 2023

Fête de la Musique returns to India from the 15th-26th of June with a multi city music festival

World Music Day was a holiday born in France in the year 1982. June 21st is henceforth recognised as Fête de la Musique globally. 41 years later, the festival continues to be celebrated and embraced by more than 1000 cities globally where masses gather over their shared love for music.
The Embassy of France in India, Institut Français in India and Alliance Française network and Boxout.fm build upon their collaboration from 2021 and 2022 to celebrate Fête de la Musique 2023.
The festival is set to adopt a hybrid model this year. Online, Fête de la Musique will host a portal that will feature curated community playlists, community radio and a submission platform for the offline events.
The offline phase of the festival is launched by a 4 city club tour across India from the 15th to 21st of June, 2023. This multi-city tour will be headlined by French electronic breakthrough DJ RONI. Following her Paris Boiler Room Debut she will be bringing forward an eclectic mix of jungle, breaks, techno and club music for her India tour.

RONI tour dates:

15th June: Mumbai at Khar Social
16th June: Kolkata at OneCommune8
18th June: Bangalore at Koramangala Social
21st June: Delhi at Auro Kitchen & Bar
The 3 week program will feature a mix of club concerts and day time events such as workshops, film screenings and panel discussions across cities with local music, culture and art collectives.
